First published in 1897, Bram Stoker’s Dracula is a seminal work of Gothic horror fiction. Its central antagonist, Count Dracula, remains the best-known vampire in literary fiction. The novel and its titular villain have inspired an entire subgenre of vampire fiction across books, film, television and theatre, with the original story still regarded as one of the finest works of Gothic horror ever produced.

To commemorate this Gothic masterpiece, we pay tribute to Count Dracula with this bullion coin, struck in one ounce of 999.9 fine gold.

Obverse Description

Effigy of King Charles III.

Reverse Description

American designer Joel Iskowitz has created a detailed depiction of the vampire, encapsulating the book’s Gothic motifs including Dracula’s cape, bats and with an eerie castle visible in the background, framed within a full moon.
