The unprecedented crossover underscores his personal efforts to combat “grade inflation.”
The 1910 Lincoln cent struck at the Philadelphia Mint is widely collected as part of the larger Lincoln cent series. While it is relatively common in the circulated grades, it is something of a conditional rarity, becoming quite scarce in the higher-end uncirculated range. However, many rolls were saved during the time of the coin's issue and thus there are plentiful examples in the Brown and Red-Brown grades.
