The 1884-S Morgan dollar is among the scarcer GSA dollars, which mostly consist of silver dollars hailing from the Carson City Mint. Because there is such demand for GSA Hoard dollars and only a relatively small number are 1884-S dollars, any examples in GSA packaging take huge premiums over similarly graded or conditionally equivalent examples that are sold raw or in regular slabs.
