As are all 1909-1916 matte proofs, the 1910 proof Lincoln cent is scarce in the strictest sense, but perhaps more frequently encountered than other early proofs. While the 1910 Lincoln cent may appear similar to business strikes of the same year, there are some subtle but important differences between both types of coins. The proofs feature finer details, granular surfaces, and squared-off rims.
